Faith in waiting

Gospel: Mark 5:21–43

Lord Jesus, today You meet desperation and quiet suffering side by side. A father pleads for his dying child, and a woman touches You in secret, hoping just to be noticed. You do not rush--You let them wait, allowing faith to meet patience, and hope to grow in the unseen spaces.

Jairus walks beside You while hearing the worst news imaginable. The woman risks shame and rejection, believing that even the smallest touch of Your garment will change everything. You pause, You see, You speak life and dignity before performing the miracle. Healing comes not just through action but through recognition, through being known and touched by Your presence.

Jesus, so many of us live in spaces like these—delays, silent struggles, prayers that seem unanswered. Teach us to remain close to You even when the outcome is unclear, to trust that Your timing is perfect, and that our small acts of faith are never wasted.

Prayer: Jesus, help us to walk in hope, to hold one another in faith, and to trust that Your presence is enough even when the world seems still.
